Let’s talk about the real estate market numbers for York County, SC, and how they impact you.

We do this every month, and it feels like time is flying by faster each time. It's June, and we’re in the heart of the buying and selling season. 

I want to take a moment to brag about our team. In May, the Bigach2Follow team signed more listings and went under contract with the highest volume we've seen. We were the top performers! We're so thankful to our clients and everyone who trusts us to guide them towards their real estate goals.

Now, let’s run through the numbers quickly.

  • - In May, 553 homes were listed, up nearly 18% from last month but still a bit below the average for May.

- The average sales price was $461,000, up 9.7% from last year and a little over 1% from April.

- Days on the market rose slightly to 35.

- Sellers received 97.4% of their original list price when they closed in May, higher than they received a year ago.

To break that down, we saw an increase in activity with more listings and more homes closing. Buyers can negotiate prices and seller credits, and we’re seeing more lending programs offering down payment assistance to help buyers.
